Crackdown on Prostitution Ring, Police Raid Hotel Rasna Garden in Panhala, Arrest Two

Crackdown on Prostitution ring Panhala : On Wednesday, March 13th, 2024, police raided Hotel Rasna Garden in Panhala and arrested two men for running a prostitution ring. The arrested men are Bhagwan Pandurang Bhakre (age 45, resident of Hotel Rasna Lodging Boarding Garden) and Shubham Zunjarrao Jadhav (age 26, resident of Manermala, Uchgav, kolhapur).

The police acted on a tip-off that women were being forced into prostitution at the hotel. They raided the hotel and found two women being held against their will. The women were rescued and taken to safety.

The police arrested the two men and charged them with running a prostitution ring, human trafficking, and immoral activities. They also seized a motorcycle and a mobile phone worth approximately ₹32,000 from the accused.

The two accused were produced before the court and remanded to police custody until March 18th.

Women from good family backgrounds are often trapped in these rackets for money. They are lured with promises of a better life but are forced into prostitution against their will.

The police have been cracking down on these illegal activities in Panhala. In the past few months, they have raided several hotels and rescued several women.
