Kolhapur : In a horrifying incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a five-year-old girl was brutally assaulted by her stepmother in Kolhapur. The incident took place in Kasarwadi village, Hatkanangle taluka.
According to the complaint filed by Shubham Magre, Puja Magre, the stepmother, has been arrested by the Shiroli MIDC police. The accused allegedly poured hot water on the girl’s face, neck, lips, and private parts, causing severe burns.
The heinous act was triggered when the child urinated on the bed. Enraged by this, Puja subjected the innocent girl to this brutal torture. Neighbors noticed the burn marks on the child’s face and inquired about her condition. However, being young, the girl was unaware of the severity of her injuries and continued to play.
The village sarpanch, upon learning about the incident, questioned the father. Subsequently, Shubham Magre filed a complaint with the Shiroli police, leading to the arrest of the stepmother. The incident has sparked outrage in the locality.
